i don't know the truth of this owen patterson thing...but his wife took her own life....wasn't he trying to warn of some carcinogenic food threat or summat :scratchhead:

i feel sorry for him TBH....even if it is self inflicted

the 'conspiracy theorist' in me thinks he mighta been nobbled by corps trying to cover up some sh1te he was trying to expose...perhaps a future scandal might occur linked to this

He was supposedly lobbying (heavily) on behalf of two companies and receiving £100k+/yr for his efforts. That part is apparently within the rules for sitting MPs. His failing to declare he was being paid handsomely for promoting their interests was most definitely not.

They shouldn't be allowed to hold other private sector jobs whilst serving as our representetives, it's just too much temptation, they cannot serve two masters, and you can guarantee duplicity and self service exists in all sides of the house.

Think we all just need to sweep our differences under the carpet , we are where we are , which ever way we voted , that Brexit poster has no relevance now , best to focus on the future now not the past 👍
Great Post , Its a pity everyone else doesn't think the same, including the Ex pats that keep on beating the negative drum !! Right or not ,lets enjoy the Ride !!

Once they prove they can and do the job they have been elected to do efficiently, honestly, to the best of their ability, with out any brown envolopes or other sweeteners or back handers or any other dis honest act. Then and only then, they could have second minimum wage job in hospitality or paper round or even some voluntary work were they just take satisfaction of helping others. Bunch of greedy selfish dishonest lazy people, be an mp.

As has been said by others I dont know the truth about what happened but I dont see what the problem is with MB's tweet, if she believes he did a good job for UK ag then why not say it ? It seems to me there is far too much herd mentality these days very few have the balls to stand up for what they believe

So funny. She has taken such a pasting in the comments. The Vice Presidents must be frothing with glee with the election up coming next year.

Stuart Roberts has already stated he will stand down and not seek re election or stand for President. That means very very unlikely Minette and Tom will change with Tom Bradshaw moving to number 2 and a new incumbent at number 3.
