Some results from the NNPM (North Notts Ploughing Match)
these results are from memory, full results are usually published on NNPM website in a few days, 4th places were given but my memory was getting full so some classes I have only remembered 3 places, I missed the Fergy results completely due to chin wagging
Trailed, 1 Mick Osbourne, 2 Mick Watkins, 3 Brian Curtis, the trailed class was run on some beautiful land and some stunning plots were ploughed.

Vintage mounted, 1 Richard Ingram, 2 Tom Cheadle, 3 Ian Wilson.

Novice mounted, 1 Spencer Cartwright, 2 Oliver Milnes, 3 Ben Milnes all three of these young men are John Milnes grand children

World Style, 1 Tim Waudby, 2 David Chappel, 3 Geoff Fretwell.

Classic Ploughing, 1 Roy Stokes, 2 Darren Easter, 3 Carl Fretwell, 4 Stuart Burden, Carl Fretwell has been quite dominant in the classics over the last couple of months but he drew a stinker of a plot having to lay his crown on last year's headland butts

Feel free to criticize, I was a little annoyed with the job I did, that small furrow in the crown is unforgivable:scratchhead: but when I looked around the rest of the field I could see that I was not the only one to be rusty after a long winter :(

That looks very tidy. Who did it ? I thought all ploughmen were still in hibernation so it is good to see that someone is alive.

Slight curve at far end but good enough to win on that day, mind you, last spring I won 75% of matches entered, this spring 50% either I am slipping or Stuart Burden has upped his game

bit quality here @Pennine Ploughing 1958
yes there is, i have all the parts to make a high cut plough, and if and when i get time i will get it built up i might have a go, but i have to master the general ploughing 1st, slowly getting there but still a bit to go, beat the winner of last years national final winner a couple of times lately, might of been just good luck though

The winning plot in the classic class from last Saturday's Northern Ireland Vintage Ploughing Association match. Only Harold Simms' 3rd outing since coming out of retirement and follows his 3rd place at the recent European championships.
