Maybe it's just me but the battery lying on its side is not a good idea for battery life. I find it difficult to keep a charge in the battery and I struggle to get much more than two years from them and they are not cheap.
Is it any easier to start if the battery is fully charged?
I have an 18Ah gel battery in mine and it has to be nearly fully charged to start.
I have a 425 Blade but I'm not using it all day every day.

Had this with our Yamahas in the past. Turns out the magnets in the starter come unglued from the body and grip the rotor which slows the starter like lack of power.

Not much better when fully charged. Original battery i think so probably done.

Terrible bike in general.
