Totally forgot to take a picture but fitted a replacement top hinge onto one of the loading gates on the Ifor Williams stock trailer today after an incident with a stubborn steer...
Surprisingly tricky if you have no rivets but tap an m5 bolt down into the little slot so they line up with the rivet holes and it sort of pops in with a bit of persuasion (y)

Chap at the dealers I ordered the part from reckoned I wouldn't be able to fit it might send him a photo :finger:
At sedgemoor?
He told me that too - special riveting tool required. I too did it with bolts

@jamesy my DF2 hopper had been drilled and bolted at 90deg to original hole when I got it. Lasted 6 years for me before I sold it.

I've possibly got a gear here off a scrap metering unit if you are still looking for one. PM me.

Once got some 120mm seed pipe for that hopper without asking the price, was £120/m for genuine KV stuff.

Well send us one, never mind him .............
Never know when we'd have the same ............... (y)
@Gulli

Always best to know the price before using an item, they seem to go up in value as soon as they know you cant leave it back. Particularly true with sprays and fertilizer ..............

Nah 5 mins down the road told him what I wanted...
'Ooo you won't be able to fit that mate'
Some to-ing and fro-ing
'Just order the f**king part and let me worry about fitting it! When will it be here?'
'Might be two weeks if the supplier doesn't have them in stock'
'I'll get it somewhere else if its going to take a fortnight'
'You won't be able to do that mate' :banghead::banghead:

I left before I lost my temper and he had it in the next day

The dog cut her foot quite badly and the bodge up was that we Super Glued the cut back together again before dressing it.
(Super Glue was developed as a battle field wound treatment - that's why it is so good at sticking your finger together;))
Took her to the vet after the weekend and they liked what we had done and just put more 'vet's super glue' on - apparently theirs doesn't sting.

3 yr old Lab with a foot dressing is hard to keep calm and clean so I cobbled up a waterproof foot cover from an old bag the dearly beloved was throwing away.
It looks bigger in the photos:scratchhead:
Dog is fine now.

Solution, home made reamer to widen remains of auger tube allowing me to bang in a replacement pipe, so relieved it worked but took a while to sort out everything, the bin bottom only 4 feet from another wall so not much room for long handled toolsView attachment 142106 Whilst I was making and using this I promised myself that I would post it here if it was a success as it is the true tradition of bodgeing - that was a piece of 3.5 inch galv pipe until I set about it with the angle grinder and welder.
Glanced at photo and I thought you'd buried a scrap tractor.
