Looking a 4wd drive modern ish tractor. Won’t be used masses but very broad range of jobs. Fence knocker, carting bales, pulling little digger, topper etc. Budget is as close to 15k as I can get.

seen a tidy little new Holland in Russells td5020? Or rj and kd Maclean’s have quite a bit..nice newer case 95 or older hispec jxu 1000 Or landini 85.

ive got a little 50hp new Holland with no cab which is handy with post knocker topper etc for little jobs and goes on the trailer fine behind rover and have had a string of bigger, old pieces of cheap rubbish that never last long. Was hoping this sort of money would get me into something I’d be confident to drive on the road and get me home in one piece.

MF 390T, if you can get a clean one?
Serviced ours last night and have a newfound appreciation for how idiot-proof they are, even if they aren't the last word in comfort. 12/12 box is the one to have, too :)
Or a 4300 series, if in budget? Slightly more to go wrong, but far better cab.
Our Case JXU1100U is a stonking tractor for it's size, too, but not sure if you'll get one in budget

Still looking, not sure on the little NH from Russells, looks lovely, very clean and simple if possibly a bit underpowered for what I would like but no movement on price and i was expecting quite a bit. TBH no one is really offering much of 'screen' price when i actually thought at the minute with interest rate and commodity price uncertainty dealers wouldn't be shifting a lot of stuff and would be keen to see money in the trading account rather than a lot of over priced stock in the yards.

Going to the opposite end of what I was looking at today I’ve looked at a class ares 656 rz. Bigger than what I was thinking about but you seem to get a hell of a lot of tractor for the money. I’d appreciate anyone’s advice on these..are they easy enough to get bits for? Service work difficult? We’re they a god tractor or are they disliked hence the price? Will a six cylinder guzzle fuel compared to a four cylinder doing the same work or just ticking over so not too bad?
