So £3 million for 500 acres approximately . £6k an acre .

Our cost of planting rice is about 300 us dollars per hectare and our current yield is at 8 tonnes per hectare per season.one year three seasons.the rice harvest is sold to government rice mill at 400 us dollar per tonne, which amounted to 3200 us dollar per hectare.A net profit of 2900 us dollars per hectare per season and 8700 dollars per year per hectare.200 hectares bring in about 1,6 mill dollar per year.
Water is free as we own our irrigation and sourced it from local big river.Fertilizer is subsidized and we run the farm with only ten farmhands as the farm is heavily mechanised from seedling, transplanting to harvesting.

This farm has been cleared for two years but we carry out dykes and irrigation maintainance every year using backhoe.

After recent weather I too have a rice farm for sale. Sadly mine comes with cows and a milking parlour, doesn't make as much money as the above BUT I will through in two waterproof coats. 2 are needed as anyone who has been to wales will no we have a very special type of rain.

In that case, well, don't bother.
I might have made a mistake in selling them.the local bank prefer financing oil palm plantation rather than rice farm.hence, i turn into farming community to proof them all wrong...that rice farm worth financing.it is not going well.
