Looks good idea might have to get 1 for winter me thinks
Im gonna use this summer, wife will make a meal for our lunches (she has microwave at work) and il keep a few tins of sphaghetti incase she cant join me for tea.

But feel we might be jetting a lot of drains on the marsh this winter so will also buy a 12v kettle later

Packed lunches are hard to do healthy, its too easy for me just to fling in biscuits as they are convenient. Does this oven just keep stuff warm or does it heat on from the off? Last winter I was cooking tins on the exhaust manifold of a Scania 440, just by the exhaust brake, worked very well.

you might want to run a good power suply to these as the wiring to a fag lighter might not be up to the current draw, especially if your cooking something for half an hour

You turn it on 45mins to an hour before you want to eat. I suppose you'll get used to how long different things take to cook.

Im thinking about re heating
Baked potato then add cheese and corned beef
spaghetti (wife makes a nice one with bacon)
Chicken, bacon, cheese pasta bake
burger and fries (maybe bacon too) with cheese
southern fried chicken and fries
lasagne (maybe with bacon too)
Battered fish fillets and fries
sweet n sour chicken/pork with noodles
curry
etc etc looking forward to experimenting

What if i made an cigarette socket adapter to go in the d plug or power strip would they take the current requirement better?

Now Then..
Last year I put a pie on the silencer of my Scania R124-360 while I was at Monks Heath, just outside Macclesfield, drove 2 hours to Strensham services,,,, it was only lukewarm however :-(

You need to shove it on the manifold, there's a space by the exhaust brake you can get 2 tins, I've done treacle sponge and custard, tinned hotpot, but you need to be going for it about 45 mins.

Had 1 for over a year now and it's a great job! I just fill a foil tin like you get from the Chinese. I heat up pretty much anything in it. For the like of roast beef and potatoesits better in 2 tins but you'll work all that out as you go.
