So a wastemaster bucket with grab was purchased 18 months ago. Arrived wrong and went back after much arguing. After 8 days use throughout that period loading double glazing windows the welds have cracked on the grab. Due to no penetration on the welds. Surprise surprise Strimech have said we are not interested. So thanks Strimech again and here is another pee'd off customer.Buyer beware!!

They seem to be a marmite company.....I've had two grain pushers from them and never had a problem at all. One direct, one through a dealer.

Do they still supply a lot of the JCB branded implements?

Same here, nearly all our attachments are strimech and never had an issue with anything - even the ridiculously long grain pusher we asked them to make us

Yes I do think they make a lot of the OE JCB buckets

Fair play there service is sh1t, had a new grab, couldn't grease in pivot pins, on further investigation I found holes not been drilled in pins to let grease out; only took 3 months get knew pins delivered,& now the paint is peeling off for fun. I do like the design in all fairness to them.

Through a dealer and he no longer uses them as the backup is so poor. The bucket itself is fine. Bad paint but heavy and bomb proof. The grab though around the pivot point just has no weld penetration. They have seen photos and say its out of warranty. The attitude stinks.

They don't make the stuff for jcb. Cherry products make 90% of the buckets and buckrakes for the loading shovels. This is what the cherry man at lamma told me this year. Strimech aren't very good, we ordered a buckrake off them 2 years ago and was promised it in April and it was ordered mid Feb, they didn't even start making it until June but by then we had cancelled it and carried on with the old one. Too late strimech!

if they don't now they certainly used to build for JCB - at least that's what they have told me in the past

Maybe that's the issue - your claim is with the dealer (he sold it you) and if he has fallen out with Strimech they are hardly going to help him are they ?

I would take action against the dealer - they exist to do something for their margin surely !

X Form buckets and grabs are made by Eastern Attachments, and they're supplied to JCB as OEM attachments.

Strimech used to distribute them X Form with Strimech stickers on, now they're distributed by Cherry Products with their stickers on (also says Eastern Attachments).

We had a new Pro Ag bucket from Strimech when they launched them and the brackets were the wrong angle, nowhere near enough tip. When we spoke to them about this they didn't want to know and we had to modify it at our cost for the customer.

Since then we've stuck to selling Cherry & X Form. Cherry Products very good to work with IMO. (y)

Had a thread similar to this last year. Strimech need help understanding time. No point giving delivery time in weeks when they mean months! Then came with wrong hydraulic fittings as they have never heard of merlo fittings.

Shocking company and we won’t deal with them again. Sold us something they’d never made before so sent us what they had made with a false identification plate. Took months to sort out and only sorted in the end because we went direct to one of the directors. Also I don’t think the quality is there now either.

They’ve been talking to HM trailers, another company that doesn’t understand customer service. Buyer definatley beware !!

I think what gets me is they can see from the photos there is very little weld or no weld. So a normal company would say bloody hell the welder needs a kick lets put it right. There attitude is its out of warranty we are not interested.

Would the people in charge of the CE scheme be interested in this at all.
With no weld penetration on something designed to lift then it surely isn't up to CE standards and a health & safety risk.

If so, might be worth going down that route. See if they are so keen to fob them off.
