STS 9880i performance issues

Good morning all,

STS 9880i 2006 with 30ft/9.15m header.

We are currently harvesting winter wheat. Every 15 minutes we have full grain tank (11 000L), which works about about 8.5t. So its only 34t/hour. Moisture 20%, yield 7-8t/ha.

Is that a normal performance for this combine? To me, its seems low. Considering its a rotor and very powerful one.

I would say that is a bit low should be doing 40t-50t. This year I've had the drum at 28mm flat out on the rotor. 8mm bottom sieve 18mm top sieve. Out put goes down a lot if the straw is not fit and chopping. Mind you are ground yields a bit better than 8.5t

Then yes 20% wheat and chopping you will struggle for hp. This year I started 15% but straw still green and was down to 20t/hr. Left it a week as weather was set fair week later back up to45t/hr. Also shags chopper belts if pushed to hard with wet straw

I have ground speed problem with my 9880i sts. Other day was everything fine finished at evening because of rain. And yesterday after wheat was dry in off to harvest, going to the field combine just doing 17km/h in third gear. Instead of 27km/h. Second gear was around 10km/h now it's going just 5km/h, first gear the same just half speed. Before you can feel when it's accelerate when range change and it's going fast, Feels like power shift change range. It's 4wd combine. I was thinking maybe 4wd solenoid stuck. But when pressing 4wd rabbit or turtle speed decrease, when pressing off speed increase. On top off the gearbox is one sensor. Everything happen after heavy rain.
