2002 Subaru Legacy Estate 2.0 Non Turbo AWD
MOT July 2018
118k
Factory Tow Bar
Cosmetically scruffy, but solid and rust free.
Large folder of history. Very impressively maintained mechanical. New clutch last year, serviced regularly. Maintenance receipts for all sorts, including cambelt and water pump. Previous owner kept newspaper cutting of advert from when they bought it. Bill of sale for second owner who bought the car for just under £14,000 and part exchanged their 1997 Legacy Estate.
Expected wear to drivers bolster, but overall the interior is clean and comfortable. Huge load space and seats 5 in comfort. Electric windows all round, air con, etc etc.
Aside from the cosmetics the only real issue is the backbox has rusted and is blowing. This passed the MOT, but is marked as an advisory. A new backbox with 2 year warranty is just under £50 on eBay. I would happily replace this for cost. The only other advisory was for damaged front number plate, but not likely to be misread (it's just cracked on the corner). Again, for cost (£5) I'd be more than happy to replace this.
The price is £600 firm. It's well worth this and is worth considerably more in parts, but it's got a near full MOT and is a great workhorse. It is 100% reliable. I'd happily jump in it and drive from one end of the country to the other without a second thought. Always starts on the button and drives spot on. Excellent tyres, brakes, suspension, battery. All spot on. Would make an ideal workhorse/load lugger/tow car. I'm a Subaru man and own 3 Imprezas. I bought this earlier in the year as I needed a tow car temporarily, but is now surplus to requirements.
Cheers
Mike
