Should it not be your dealer who is there to set you up with the drill ???? (unless you are close to the factory and deal direct?)
Yes our dealer did come out but in all fairness to him he is not an expert at what is still a relatively new method of establishment in our area and he is learning like I am.

Any issues or queries, stick them on here, there's quite a few running DTS's on here that might be able to give advice, I'm 2.5 years in and still learning.

We have just put the drill away after our first autumn with it. What do you do on compacted headlands/tramlines etc. Our combine made a fair few wheelings on the ground going into spring cropping, I am thinking we might try a low disturbance subsoiler... the annoying thing is we could also do with a set of discs to get a stale seedbed in the autumn as currently use spring tines which not convinced about. But it's all more cost [emoji849] Are you finding your fields are becoming more level?

I’ve been strip tilling since 2011 and bought a sumo DTS 3 in2014 with the orga metering system.
Never looked back. Super system and machine.
I’m selling my 2014 DTS to upgrade to another one as I change machines every 3-4 yrs. 2500 acres done. I have those rear leg extensions also available.
I’d happily advise to get strip tilling
Some sample pictures below!

I pulled the DTS for 3 years with a JD 6170M but I eventually chipped it to about 190HP. My ground in east Ireland is relatively heavy so I needed the extra 20 hp.
The only issue was lifting it full as the hydraulic oil requirement can be high.
I’ve since changed to a vario new holland with extra HP and it’s no issue now in particular the speed it lifts at the headland.
