Teejet Matrix 570GS screen gone black

I purchased a new Teejet Matrix 570GS last year. Whilst using it at night I decided to turn the brightness down. After pressing and holding the down arrow the screen went black.

As it had gone black I couldn’t see where the icons had gone to try to rectify this. I’ve tried restarting it, updating the software, speaking to the supplier and even Teejet themselves but still no joy.

The problem is either the brightness is turned down too far. The teejet man suggested I throw a coat over the screen and my head to see if I can see anything (which I still couldn’t) or a different glitch.

When powering up or when I did the software update, I can get icons and colours etc on the screen. It is just black/blank when it gets to the Home screen once powered up.

Before I send it back for further investigation has anyone else had this problem or know a solution? Thanks

Yes, it was a common problem which should be solved with te latest update. Maybe a second unit next yours wil help to touch the screen at the right place?
