I almost forgot…

Smiling today, it’s our 20th Wedding Anniversary.

I would be lying if I said it was smiles all the way, we’ve had the odd bump in the track, but on balance, I think I’ll let Mrs COP stay a bit longer and see how we go.
I hope you remember at least the card before she got up I still remember the months of teasing dad used to get when he forgot🤣

Would be interesting on how it would stand up to a bad storm as while I know it was a hurricane the did it but the roadway was also as wide as that but above the waterline where the portage between bridges were decimated in Florida where large parts of the road were washed away.

The fun will begin next thursday , when loss adjuster comes ,
goingbto have a look in loft to see what burst on monday ,and fix it ,
had all carpets out and underlay ,
electric must be ok as nothing tripped off ,

I have had a few experiences of this. A few years ago when a tenant was evicted i went round the next day with a potential new tenant, the hot water tank had been cut out and all water pipes cut, the wee house was destroyed. We took some pictures and forwarded them to the insurance company. About a week later the loss adjuster flew over to see it, taxi man sat outside with the meter running. The builder and loss adjuster hammered the deal out there and then, it was one of the strangest deals because everyone agreed on everything other than a few quid here and there it was relatively straight forward. i had the money in my account by the end of the day. Start of February this year the farm house had 2 burst pipes within 2 weeks. Only settled it on the 23rd of this month. Two loss adjuster visits one virtual, one physical, multiple case handlers someone off sick, left the job, maternity etc. My new case handler emails me wanting to have a discussion, he apologised that it has taken so long and that he has inherited it from another colleague from what appears to be a fairly standard claim and he cant explain why it has taken this amount of time to resolve. Good chat on the phone with him saying that he would like to resolve it today if possible as he's been inundated. Boom done deal there and then maybe 15mins in total. One insurance company was one of those fly be night types one was the nfu mutual.....guess which was which.

They have been build overhere since the 70's and there are 35 or so. Never heard of big problems.

I watched an interesting video where scientists had looked into the feasibility of effectively turning the Channel and North Sea into a salt lake via a series of dams an locks with one between France and Cornwall, the another between the Scottish mainland and Norway via the Orkneys and Shetlands to combat rising sea levels.

Highly unlikely but still interesting to listen to more so than writing a letter to the HMRC and the RPA

Things that made me smile - 2022 review:

Harvest drying charges
Mrs teslacoils in the actual nud.
Chasing lampers / coursers in my bloody quick car.
Watching stuff come out of a 3d printer - it's like actual magic.
Having folk come up and tell my son how lovely his hair is.
I don't know I should be commiserating with your son or not as growing up everyone uses to say I had lovely hair and how it was just like my father's was.

He for all the years I knew him for was bald. It was a scary thing especially when you think that the dog has been up on you bed only to realise it isn't dog hair...
