Tow car

I don't post on here very often as I'm not a proper farmer, just a smallholder, but I have a feeling you lot will be helpful.
I currently have a kia sorento on a 56 plate, I absolutely love the car, it has a low range box and I use it for towing on the fields, towing hay on trailers, towing a livestock trailer throwing bags of food in etc etc. However I would like to replace it with something newer, nothing wrong with the car, just fancy something a bit younger. The new kia sorento (I am a bit of a kia fan, have had 4 in different models) is lovely but its more of a car less of a traditional 4x4, and although it is 4 wheel drive it doesnt have a low range box, and I find the latter useful for getting me out of mud or on wet grass.
So any ideas what to go for, I don't want to go above a 3litre engine, mine is 2.5 and is just fine, and a pickup is just too big for around town. I need an automatic due to a permanently knackered left foot that can't manage a clutch!

I bought a 05 Merc ML 270 couple years ago. They don't review well but apart from tyres and a power steering pipe I can't fault it. I only do 4/5k miles a year. Seemed a lot of vehicle for just under £5k and is similar to you Kia I believe.
Would a newer merc fit the bill.
Lovely towing vehicle on the box and has 7 seats if we all want to go out. Mrs runs polo for work/ school run. Combination seems to work well without stupid money being tied up in vehicles/ depreciation. If either of them had a major fault I wouldn't worry now....

Well I too have a Kia (XT) and i must admit, after only having it for just short of 12 months,...I'm loving it,..it does the job well... Of course that doesn't help you know does it,..! LOL :D

Had a Shogun SWB auto previously and that did a grand job of towing too.
