Turbine regeneration.

I have 3x 15kw turbines, producing around 90000kw intotal per year. Feed in tarriff runs for another 8 years and i think there is maybe a way i can replace them or add another to max out my feed in tarriff payment. Is this a thing? So 45 (kw site) x 24 (hours in the day) x 366 (days in year) = 394200kw.

Are we able to up production from 90000kw to 394200kw and get pay for it all?

At 39p fit it soon adds up, never mind export.

If this is possible. Has anyone done it? How large a turbine would we need? How much would it all cost from start to finish?

I have asked scottish power for a 500kw grid connection but there painfully slow in getting back to me.

Are these water turbines or wind turbines. If wind take 10% of your 394200 and you wont be disappointed with your actual generation figure.

Yes wind turbines.

Your FIT will be based on 45kW total installed capacity. You can put more up, but only the output from the original 45kW is eligible for FIT.

Fair enough question, as is what is likely to happen/be worthwhile when our FIT/planning permissions run out.

You most certainly cannot increase your production in this way . Your FIT payments are linked to your current turbines, your FIT meter and your Mpan meter
if you choose to replace your turbines you must be able to justify the replacement if it is not exactly like for like
You can add extra turbines but they must not feed through your FIT meter.
Be careful if upgrading your supply that they do not allocate a new Mpan

And rather easy to spot when ofgem do their quarterly reckoning.

In the early days the outputs from unusually, but hardly exceptionally, windy quarters were questioned, though I haven't had it for a good while.

Does the same occur with solar?

Have not had questions for a few years, suspect the computers can detect unusual figures but if you look across the country you should soon build up a picture of any unusual figures. I certainly rely on this for monitoring my sites and I have very few, I would think having thousands you could predict precisely what any given site should be doing by its location .
