Will 80hp tractor run a Teagle 8080 straw bedder?

Farm I do work on has a Teagle 8080 and currently use a Renault Arez 556z to run it. It has to be hooked on and off daily as the tractor is used for other duties such as feed wagon and slurry pump.

They are looking at getting a 2nd tractor to run the straw bedder (only used for straw) and/or feed wagon to free up the Renault. They've come across an old Valmet tractor close by that is 80hp. Would 80hp be enough?

thanks for the replies folks. Have passed the info on. Just need to go check out the tractor now and see if it will suit them.

Seems like their local Ag Engineer they use was just trying to sell them a tractor when he told them it'd need a 100hp minimum.

We have an mf 3065 which I think is about 85 no problems and used to have international 685 on before that power not really that important a good flow of oil is more important

We used to run a 9090 with a 785 case, it was ok but more power means less blockages. It's on a 3350 now which is fine but Can't beat the 6930 in 540e [emoji41]

Guess it all depends how busy you are!

Sounds like a annoying problem

This is only a 100 acre farm; one man, one tractor, 300-ish deer to feed everyday. How the hell would I justify a second tractor just to load bales into the shredder, when with the quick hitch it literally only takes seconds to drop off and pick up again. Some of you guys must have too much money!
