So following on from previous thread.any suggestions on how to find a xero trained farm secretary as current one is employed through consultancy group whom I don’t think use xero.
If you have xero set up and linked to your bank feed, do you need a farm secretary? Our small humble ag accountants have a couple of excellent whippersnappers who seem to know xero inside outSo following on from previous thread.any suggestions on how to find a xero trained farm secretary as current one is employed through consultancy group whom I don’t think use xero.
Better still, don't accept paper invoices from your supplies. Supplier emails you an invoice, you forward the email directly to Xero and it will then mostly auto fill on Xero.I use it all the time, can’t see why you can’t do two evenings a month to it, surprisingly how much you can do in a hour, set your self up to photograph invoices so the copy straight to Xero. All the info there then
I'd be surprised if your secretary can't do xero as it seems very common. Not all accountants like it, it doesn't do stock valuation very well apparently. Before jumping in, choose your new accountant, then ask what they like to work with.
I think the first question is to find out why your consultants aren't using xero or a similar cloud based system with auto bank imports. So following on from previous thread.any suggestions on how to find a xero trained farm secretary as current one is employed through consultancy group whom I don’t think use xero.
I use the hubdoc attachment and its good on emailed invoices but won't lift all the info on photos of invoices. As a consequence I still enter it manually as its quicker.I use it all the time, can’t see why you can’t do two evenings a month to it, surprisingly how much you can do in a hour, set your self up to photograph invoices so the copy straight to Xero. We still use hubdoc for those and enter it manually in hubdoc. The reason is it means all invoices are in the same system and the accountants will never want to see a paper one because they already have it electronically.I use the hubdoc attachment and its good on emailed invoices but won't lift all the info on photos of invoices. Accountants producing the tax returns from xero are still invoicing the same amount they did pre digital, despite now not having mountains of paper to wade through.....there is no Xero training - it’s so simple I could teach my labrador to use it in an hour or so
That would seem to be the case alrightAccountants producing the tax returns from xero are still invoicing the same amount they did pre digital, despite now not having mountains of paper to wade through.....
They must be employing more expensive labradors these days
I keep hearing people forwarding emails to xero and it self extracting. Do you mean xero or is it hubdoc which is free with xero. When we started with hubdoc xero could only attach the emailed invoice but not extract it.
Not sure I would change though as hubdoc is a better filing method for invoices than xero which means any invoice over the last 5years is available to me at any time anywhere.
Unless sage has dramatically improved, it's written by accountants, for accountants, to make anyone who isn't an accountant think that it's difficult to be an accountantXero is definitely easier to use than quickbooks, was thinking of switching to sage but I’m thinking Xero is best value £
