After a fairly dry and breezy dry 10 days normal service has resumed chucking it down and has most of the night

Rain just started for the day, one "dry" ie not raining day in the last 2 months and wind picking up , last gust 49mph forecast for 67mph . just watching a tree in the drive way putting up a brave fight but the root plate is starting to lift with each gust. I want to go and give it a pre-emptive cut to save getting a crater and damaged concrete but MrsDT says no to risky.
