30mm last night, place is awash again!!

April did 83mm, last april 84 so same as but it felt a lot wetter than last year.

After 100ml in April, thunderstorm rumbling around us and another 10ml for May already! Tramlines full of water again and no settled spell in sight:(

It certainly seems/feels a lot wetter.............But after 10 months of rain hardly suprising i guess!!
 
It was torrential here this morning and I was awoken by a call from my sister to tell me that the stream had suddenly come up and a ewe and her two lambs were on the wrong side. By the time we walked down there, it was just back in its banks with a lake across the field and just now I had a look and it has dropped a couple of feet and can nearly be walked over. It comes down off the New Forest but is amazingly quick to react.
I'm glad I spent yesterday afternoon on the house roof sorting out a crack in a valley or we would have had a crisis.
