Well I finally 🎉🎉🎉 have someone coming to look at making up a road up the hill to a derelict cottage we own. The situation has gotten critical due to a tiny roof leak becoming a more serious one, but there's no chance of getting work started because the track is so bad it's only accessible by...
Managing a small herd of longhorns here.Lovely quiet cows untill they have a calf, then it's as if a switch has been flicked and they suddenly become possessed by the devil.
This of course then becomes exacerbated when you have calves that don't suck; big traffic cone tits to latch onto; tagging...
Someone said today that the best smell is freshly rolled cereals in the spring.
My entry would be freshly spread rotten muck in the autumn or possibly freshly mown grass.
Any other thoughts?

Does anyone who does this fancy sharing an honest price that they charge?
I sheared a small flock of 8 ewes and 2 rams for a neighbour last year. I asked for £20 and they handed me £80.
It was clear that they thought I was cheap, and I suppose I was.
Anyway, I have a notion of advertising my...

Currently have/had a grizzly 450 that we have had for years never put a foot wrong, but it doesn't get hard hard work, we have some relatively steep banks for sheep grazing so it's mainly used just for Shepherding chasing down at lambing etc we don't pull a snacker.. having ever only brought...

Was at a farm yesterday and he’s having trouble with orf in his lambs so he’s bought 4 plastic kids sledges put some rock salt in them and put them out in the fields if he needs to move them he just hooks the sledge to the back of the quad and of he goes . I thought it a real good idea
Interesting To know what inventions people have turned their plastic drums into.
we just have a sledge for moving a fresh calve but I bet theres more creative things to do with them
