Hi has anyone had any experience with their dogs on the farm been complained about? regarding the odd bark through the night and what happened to sort it out with a complaining neighbour ,what rights do we have to have our dogs on our property if the neighbour is going to keep complaining about been woken up, how did anyone sort it out and what did you do ? Be to thankful the dog has got good hearing .
It might be a pre warning to something .
Tell the neighbor its better the dog barks than finding next day ,the yard has been robbed

It's my dogs been complained about from a neighbour who has just started a holiday let,,we are both agricultural,I can't find any legal dos or donts and want to hear other people's resolves with same issues

Perhaps put a tall straw stack between the dogs and your neighbour to dampen or soak up the noise The bigger the better to absorb all the potential noise

When I moved back to east anglia I was forced to get rid of a collie because it barked (previously had no neighbours) , still regret backing down now

Only that I was compelled to no longer buffer feed barley straw in a field I graze as it was next to a householders fence (house 120m away from fence)

Personally I can't be doing with a dog barking continuously either if it's my own or someone else's,
and something must be a miss if as dog is continually barking at nothing , it can wear you down having to hear it especially if you have no control over where the barking is coming from imo
