Can't get the labour or the skills to take them down any sense I guess so easier and quicker to slam the client with a rough and dirty demolition fee? Probably charged them for disposal of the steel...

Ah but its going off to be recycled so no doubt a developer can tick a sustainability box somewhere. Thats all that really matters in todays world. So its all fine really

Well we know that. But I’m sure when it comes to ticking boxes it makes no difference. Our local EMR used to have a section where they picked out good steel sections & you could go in & buy. Generally brand new steel left over from developments etc. Priced somewhere between scrap & new steel. Everyone was a winner. I imagine the safety elf put a stop to it.
