I remember as a kid we used to have goslings in a small house stroke run. Moved it everyday by two people lifting and moving to next piece of fresh grass. Maybe even twice a day. Then when they got in full feather went onto our river.

bit late to this thread, would you be able to tell me the size and amount of hens in these tunnels please @Poorbuthappy
These are broilers, so go in at 2-3 weeks old from the brooder, and we aim for a 2kg dw bird.
Have had up to 400 in them, but running at 300 currently. 400 is a better impact on the ground, but looks quite full by the time they're fit. Though go in at night whilst they're asleep and they don't cover much floor space.
Moved every day, so always fresh grass to go at.
Tunnel is 40'x19'

Edit: sorry, looking back seems like I've repeated myself a bit🤦‍♂️

we are glad of the reminder, it was over a year ago and not many of us are getting younger
