I haven’t asked then, felt a little cheeky as I might not use they’re tines yet, also having conversations with BTT & Metcalfs
I was quite candid with everyone what I was doing, I did feel a bit guilty so got all the seed tube stuff from Andy guests but weaving said I should have got from
them.
The only one who wouldn’t help was Simtech it was a whole drill or nothing so their loss on an easy 4K sale of parts.

when the points wear is it the whole leg you change ( those two bolts at the top ) ?
Yes. With this version and most of the tines like this you have to change the whole thing. Waste!

BTT do something call a Replaceable Tip Tine - RTT. With this you only change the worn out tip! Saving money.

Yeh may have done.

Haven’t Horsch bought Dutch or at least invested into? May have imagined that.
Horsch has not purchased Dutch, Dutch is a 3rd generations Canadian company still owned by the original family. Horsch approached Dutch years ago now with the interest in offer Dutch Openers as original equipment on their drills. The relationship has growing ever since.

the Kuhn Megant isn’t eligible for grant funding
We’ve been told they are now eligible since changing the tines and point.
Can you point out where it says they are disallowed.
Also told those that applied for grants on Kuhn Megant last year were all successful.

If the drill isn't on the RPA list, it's not eligible. Quite how strip till drills like the Mzuri made it I don't know but I got a grant for my iPass last year.
Can you link to the list please?
I’ve looked down the spec and i agree specifically excludes strip till but may be ok if putting fert down front leg and seed behind!

I'm not sure that list is published but will have a look. Each manufacturer submitted the necessary evidence to meet the criteria. In the case of the iPass, Mzuri sent a video from Groundswell of it direct drilling into a cover crop at least 15cm tall.

Bear in mind that my FETF drill grant was in 2022, not now. The goal posts have probably moved since then.
