Spring drilling finished for now! Barley went in to 2 snotty heavy horrible fields. Ran through it with a trio, left them 24 hrs and combi drilled surprisingly well with nitram down the spout.

That was a good bit , took 5 hours to plough 8 acreshoward, that don't look wet or strong
Fastracs and small awkward fields aren't a good mix , me neck hurtsyou better trade the fastrac in for a claas

tbh I work on around 1.4ac/hr.
And no wonder the dp8 gave up with the fazza on the fronthoward, that don't look wet or strong
I'm very gentle with it , only a circlip fell off
Dowdeswell are the only ploughs that get the furrow on it's back here .
Almost there. Heavier wetter fields just dried out enough in the last couple of days to be fit for travelling on. Down a gear or two from the rest but knocking down nice. Been ploughed since November.
Just 35 acres left after this one but fert spreader to go back on first for 16-16-16, MOP & Calcifert. Think I’ll put rest of N on too. Never sown in May before.

That's the problem we only use this drill when it's wet. We bought it 2 years ago to replace a box drill that didn't work in the wet it just left seed on top. Now we can drill in wetter conditions but it probably weighs a ton more so have to be careful where we go . Having said that I sunk in walking over that part .
When was that field ploughed? Any freshly ploughed around here is ok but anything ploughed earlier that got a lot of rain is still wet in places!!
