Dealing with depression - suicidal thoughts - Join the conversation (including helpline details)

I recently had a couple of tough days with brain fog, fatigue, and irritability but realised that wheat, gluten, alcohol, and some e-numbers had been allowed to slip past my normally tight dietary controls.

Things were not helped by acute lack of exercise, due to arthritic knees and a ruptured Achilles tendon.

I will drag out the static exercise bike today and use it to get my blood circulating and perhaps pep up the old brainbox a wee bit.

You can have all of ours!
It's getting beyond a joke.
It's seriously getting me down!
I joke about it but one of the reasons I left the UK was I couldn't handle the long, grey, damp, miserable winters.
The sun makes a massive difference to mood, dark in the mornings at the moment as the clocks haven't changed yet, getting out of beds a struggle.

I'm just re reading Doug Avery ..'.The Resilient Farmer' as it happens. There's a few video's of Him out there but one with him and His wife Wendy ,an interview on RNZ (tv) that is interesting watch / listen .
The book ,well also I like the large print ,easy on the eyes when the eyesight isn't what it was .

Some generalisations yes but some good lines of thought .........
'course it always worth repeating and noting again, that people are all different and approach life in different ways , therefore their probs and challenges come in all sorts of different ways none more or less important than any other .
