As wood field said above....can't you get in short term lambing help via your boss? You won't like your job if you end up wrecked.

I got lambing staff, we aren’t that bad. . They would drive you to drink lambing that lot inside on my own.

Still a lot of responsibility for you...if it's a good job sell your own, gain some time, you can always start your own flock again in the future.

Like I said above with the bull, you do your best day in day out, the haters hate but despite us putting on the Macho image , we have empathy with the stock , and at times it really feks your head and drives us down
some sunshine on our backs and on the stock , some fresh grass in the field and it all looks better again!

Feeling the years this morning here, but the only upside (at the moment) is that it is not raining..... yet!

I took the job on to have more time, ended up with less, so something has to give or I will end up an over worked single bloke if I’m not careful.

I have lost nearly all of my "favorites" over the years prematurely. So much so that i try to force myself not to have any.
Still happens though,lost a good cow last December with staggers.

On the lambing front,just been started a few days and pleasantly surprised inspite of the p!ss wet.
Mostly twins and lambing themselves outside.

But i know for sure one of these mornings when i go out there will be a right f*ck up.

We grab a small positive when we can.. Even a dry day or a peek of sunshine is greeted with pleasure, right now.

Just waiting on seeing the first mob of lambs, charging across the fields on a Sunny morning, and Ewes looking on anxiously... well the first timers anyway! Even better with a small tump they can climb on and jump off

Shhhh. My weather lady has said there will not be much here. I will hold her to it, as if it is heavy, SHE will be preparing Supper!!

Just waiting on seeing the first mob of lambs, charging across the fields on a Sunny morning, and Ewes looking on anxiously... well the first timers anyway! Even better with a small tump they can climb on and jump off

barsteward machines these days, wanting you to use one of a multitude of apps... Son has around 6-7 on his phone.

The Council in Bridgnorth has installed some that are practically incomprehensible to understand, I suspect deliberately so. Maximise fines??

I turned a few ewes and lambs out and it proceeded to start raining but mainly its been windy all day! Warmish though about 12⁰.

I picked up a dead single, brought the ewe in and skinned the lamb and put a pet on. Brought about 20 ewes and lambs back in after looking at the forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Been successfully avoiding having pet lambs, needed one yesterday for a ewe who lost her lamb. Can't win with sheep.

Just got back from clinic appointment with the boss , via a bit of dinner, ewe with prolapse harness on has slipped twins
I’ll be glad when today is over
