3 more quarters of silage left here. Of course it's started raining again this morning...

Canola's starting to come down and the rare Barley field but those are throwing up to 20% moisture so aren't much use yet. I did see a rare lone combine actually working yesterday...

The rush for bin space will be starting here within a week though (n)

Forecast is good for next week now - talk of high pressure settling things down again. (y)
Of course the weather will get better.
For the last few years the school holidays have delivered rubbish weather with good before and after. So my prediction it will get good, we send the little rain Gods back to school so they can look longingly out of the window and the rest of the harvest will come in nice and dry.

Getting fed up reading the nearly finished thread, must be great to farm in England. The remnants of Hurricane Bertha decided to sit on us for 2 days last weekend flattening the remaining wheat that was standing, not cut anything below 20% yet.130 acs s barley left mostly flat + 100acs wheat also flat and forecast not great for this week either. What we have in the shed is worth v little and is costing a fortune to dry so can't feel to sorry for the Englishmen that can't get there wheat below 17%:cry:Rant over
Had a break in the weather first half of the week,s barley now finished apart from a few bits round trees etc, pushed on on wednesday night and got the flat wheat finished aswell, nothing particularly dry 17-21 %,looks like we are in for a more settled spell now but our wheat wouldn't have stood any more rain as it was already starting to sprout.10 days drying ahead now and get the rest of the bits and pieces left to cut finished, hopefully get some malting barley shifted but doesn't look like there is going to be a spot price this year.

Just the way the summer holidays are up here. Start end of June. Your right I can't believe how early it is. We've just 170 acres left. All malting barley cut. Rest is Propino for cattle.

Still got 250 acres of wheat, 200 of oats and 100 of late drilled barley to do, but it wont be ready for 10 days or so. The boys went to 2 on Friday morning then we had 15mm of rain, wheat in the field is 27% today so we will leave it to tomorrow, a bit of wind getting up now so should be ok.

Two weeks since we did anything, 90 acs straw still in swath, some moved twice now! Need 7 good days to get done, a lot to do hereabouts,
Seem to have had some rain most days, best moisture I've seen for a week was 21.5% just before it rained again :(

Just tested my wheat. It's 21%, as had showers during the night.
Was hoping to get it done today, but weather so far, hasn't been as good as forecast.
Can we trust the longer range or not, as heads look like dropping off on some Diego that's left.
