Nah august has just been wet, wet, wet
And cold, cold, cold here, even though yesterday and today we're lovely days (sunny and windy) couldn't get moisture under 16% all day. Very fresh

Forecast is good for next week now - talk of high pressure settling things down again.Did the last bit of wheat. 80ac linseed to do. Tested at 12% today. Probably do it next week.
Need it, an awful lot still to be cut around this area, fingers crossed!Forecast is good for next week now - talk of high pressure settling things down again.
How about a TFF mug for the last combine.Forecast is good for next week now - talk of high pressure settling things down again.
Of course the weather will get better.Forecast is good for next week now - talk of high pressure settling things down again.
Had a break in the weather first half of the week,s barley now finished apart from a few bits round trees etc, pushed on on wednesday night and got the flat wheat finished aswell, nothing particularly dry 17-21 %,looks like we are in for a more settled spell now but our wheat wouldn't have stood any more rain as it was already starting to sprout.10 days drying ahead now and get the rest of the bits and pieces left to cut finished, hopefully get some malting barley shifted but doesn't look like there is going to be a spot price this year.Getting fed up reading the nearly finished thread, must be great to farm in England. The remnants of Hurricane Bertha decided to sit on us for 2 days last weekend flattening the remaining wheat that was standing, not cut anything below 20% yet.130 acs s barley left mostly flat + 100acs wheat also flat and forecast not great for this week either. What we have in the shed is worth v little and is costing a fortune to dry so can't feel to sorry for the Englishmen that can't get there wheat below 17%Rant over
Been back to school 3 weeks up here. Hasn't had any affect on weather.
Just the way the summer holidays are up here. Start end of June. Your right I can't believe how early it is. We've just 170 acres left. All malting barley cut. Rest is Propino for cattle.
