What is wrong with these people, they seem to frightened of their own shadows.

I don't live in the USA.

I can see shooting "innocent people" is not a great thing. However, I can also see that the USA has significant Crime problems which are gun related.

They are not frightened of their own shadows, they are faced with Crime which unfortunately some politicians don't care about.

Yes, generally it would be better if no one had access to guns.
It's not going to happen, but I don't think everyone walking round with AR-15's makes it better either.

I don't agree.

Either the state has got to eliminate crime & look after citizens or law abiding people need guns to protect themselves.

States all over the world have extreme agendas, create wars, criminal gangs are rife, drugs are rife, illegal immigration is rife - guns are more needed by ordinary people than ever.

I have never seen such total disregard for ordinary people by Politicians - I think most people have had more than enough.

So you end up with a situation where everyone is armed to the teeth? That doesn't fix anything nor does it mean law-abiding citizens can defend themselves, it just means more people have guns and get shot and the police have a harder time trying to decide whether that person with an AR is a good citizen or about to kill them.

I agree that it's gone too far in the US and there's only one-way things can go.
Other countries, where things aren't so bad should take note. It's why I'm glad Cindy took some of the guns out of circulation here. Now government needs to carry on and shut down the gangs too.

Fix law and order first before trying to take away peoples guns
How do you do that, they already have heaps of cops, and more full prisons than anyone else.
The problem with giving people guns is everyone then has to have them, and everything turns into a shoot-out.
Better to have none. Again, I realise that's not happening in America.

Plenty situations where guns have saved people who would otherwise have been assaulted or worse you can ban guns tomorrow that won’t stop criminals using them

Talk about freedom but they are apparently living in fear of virtually anyone who enters their property or comes near their front door to the extent they will open fire on them without blinking? I get confused sometimes are we talking about the United States or just a particularly rowdy part of Somalia?

Yes there are, there's also plenty of situations where kids have been killed by their parents poorly stored guns. There's evidence for every argument you want to make.
Bottom line is you can't get shot if there's no guns.
Too late to keep them out of America. More work could be done to reduce them in places like the UK though.

Do you think everyone should have a gun?

No everyone shouldn’t have a gun just like everyone shouldn’t have a knife or a piece of wood or golf club etc

That's the bit that isn't talked about in the US, there is a percentage of the population very concerned about their right to guns but if you drill down into it, they don't mean everyone, they just mean them. OK, so now they have guns what about those who don't?
There was a bit of this in the recent "Trans" mass shooting. A small group of Trans people should arm themselves and stand up to the 'right wing gun nuts', was the suggestion, they posted pictures of themselves all Rambo'd up. Said gun nuts immediately hit back saying, bring it on you don't stand a chance. Very helpful.

So, if you don't arm everyone, who gets the guns?
