Weedwipers

It's quite hard to quantify as you don't need to cover the whole area in practice, but in previous years using 2 CDax wipers in tandem, I've covered our top 60 acre paddocks in a day and a half after doing normal farm chores in the morning.
Using 3 wipers connected last week, I reckon I did 25 acres of heavy curly leaved dock infestation in a couple of 2 hour stints and they have died off really well, having grazed the grass down around them beforehand. Dryground docks may be harder to kill as they don't seem to grow so spindly.
This is using an old IH250 tractor of 30hp. As mentioned, an old Disco could do it faster or more comfortably.

Before the York beet factory closed we did weed wiping treating weed beet in the area using a Carrier rollmaster 6m machine. The slow moving large diameter application rollers allowed a gentle release of treated plants reducing flicking of chemical to the surrounding crop. It was designed to use glyphosate along with a polymer thickener product that worked out quite expensive and had to be used fairly quickly before it went off. We started using a 50/50 mix of glyphosate and codacide oil that worked very well, was much cheaper and no time usage limit.
