Most likely will get some warming before the real cold sets in. Supposed to get above freezing next week.Looking back at your earlier posts you have had snow about this time anyway in other years. Will it disappear again or can you expect this for a while now?
Only belatedly came across your thread but that photo took me back nearly 30 years to a solo trip I did to that beautiful part of the States -flew into Denver and drove almost to the Canadian border and back. Went to look at the Devils Tower which was probably more wildly known at that time because of the film and took the photo below. It was very nearly the last photo I ever took as I’d pulled in to a parking spot alongside the road to take the photo and getting back on the road I forget for a few seconds I should be driving on the right……Fortunately realised as the oncoming cars were getting quite close!
She plays with it. I pull it in 6th gear at about 1700rpm. This particular model of disk is known for the front gang throwing soil further than the rear can pull it back if you go too fast, making ridges.Tidy old 48.
Bet she has a nice grumble, pulling those discs.
I find it hard to think. Old tractors over here are rotten. You see them in the us sitting outside too. You'd think they would rotten too with snow on them all winter. What a wonderful selection of photos - thank you for posting them.
Poses some interesting questions for the European farming fraternity with their mega-buck, giant horsepower, all singing dancing 4wd tractors. There you are working with old by our standards 2wd tractors, even an old Agriking from the 70’s on the baler. So who’s got it right. I guess if you have a breakdown it’s cheap and easy to fix.
May be time for a tractor policy rethink over here ??

I’d happily spend a day on that - so long as aircon and radio work what more does one need with that lovely Deere engine purring away up front. She plays with it. It’s only 25 feet but I have it set for as deep as it will go.

Merry Christmas to you too.Merry Christmas to my friends I will never meet.
