Can you move PG01 into one of the arable SFI options?

I have a parcel of land that was down as PG01 permanent pasture in my 2023 BPS, it needs re sowing and I thought about putting it into AHL1 pollen and nectar mix . If I keep the land use code as PG01 it doesn’t give me the AHL1 option in the land uses section of the SFI scheme, but if I change the land use to say AC01 then it throws up the error “ some of the land uses on the parcel are not compatible with the land cover on the parcel” anyone managed to achieve this, or do I have to call the helpline or once PP always PP? Thanks

You need to change the land cover from permanent pasture to arable. Think this has to be done by RPA as it changes the RLR. Helpline will explain.

Can you still change Land Use Codes now BPS has gone?? Not sure you can anymore on the portal..
I think you now have to ring up the RPA??

Is this not a prime example of the mess converting from BPS to SFI??? The system is still manual in reality....

The land cover change (pp to arable) can be requested somewhere online if it's a whole parcel. Used to need an RLE1. Once that's done things should open up.

Worked it out . Go into land on your RPA online portal . Select Request Rural land changes , then select full land cover change. Select the field/fields and then make the necessary change in the drop down menu. Once submitted it says can take up to 28 days for the RPA to process the request. Hopefully it should be straightforward and no other information will be needed.

So no RLE1 needed?

Doesn’t look that way. They may contact to request additional information?? but it seems the online method may be a replacement for some of the RLE1 requests . I know that you still have make an RLE1 request is making significant changes to multiple field boundaries as I had to do one recently.

Glad you sorted it... They reserve the right not to revert land designation but hope you manage to get yours through..
