we had a small jer x cow come back at £153.5, only 464kg £712

if sent to abattoir, we would have been knocked hard, for underweight, reckon it would have been about £500 direct.

young casualty stock bull, £176.5 at Salisbury, 642kg, £1133, wouldn't have come to that, from abattoir, they hit stock bulls hard.

if they are good meat, reckon mkt is better, seem to be dragging the dead price up.

Not sure
People starting to turn out round our way now and some that would have gone in when prices were up a bit, are now going out to graze instead, especially with a lot of spare grazing about, which will mean numbers are likely to be shorter. Prices normally rose towards June as well. May be an uplift soon?

I'm certainly not rushing to sell.

If cows are fit to go they are better off sent. Stock usually lose weight for the first month out on grass if they have been in on good grub what you might gain in price you lose in kgs . In my opinion
