I'd have wean the wife off aswell so theres no bread in the cupboard, she eats more bread than me.

Does it make much difference as to how your cooking bacon. Fried or grilled?
10 minutes in the air fryer
It’s hard to adjust, I grew up with parents and grandparents that bulked up the meat with great big slices of bread for belly fill, it was good home made bread.
Another way to do it is to fast for 3 days and just drink water, that gives your gut a full reset, your gut biome gets used to what you regularly eat and makes you crave it, like bread. So a 3 day fast then start your new diet is a great reset, I’ve never personally done it, most I’ve done is 24 hours

I’ve done 48 hours, didn’t find it hard until the 2nd night, could not sleep, absolutely wired.

Im currently settling into what I hope to maintain for a couple of months,

Cup of tea for breakfast (I find not eating breakfast easy)

Carb free lunch from (favourite being scrambled eggs with grated cheese and some ham) 12 onwards

Normal dinner eaten before 6 pm
Nothing else

down 4lb this week, but it’s the first full week, I expect it to settle down, hope to lose 1-1.5lb a week and maintain that for a couple of stone this year.

As I’m recovering from surgery and broken bones I’m off my usual diet to a certain extent and it’s hard work
I have to force myself to eat to get enough good calories, good breakfast of 4 eggs or weetabix with raw milk
Smoked salmon salad with tuna and more eggs for dinner
Normal meat and 2x veg tea
Vitamin d supplement and a bone supplement
My garmin watch tells me how many calories I’m burning while healing, along with a higher resting heart rate and higher stress levels and my body battery doesn’t charge through the day as I’m healing so much I’m sat doing nothing getting tired
It’s amazing what your body can do with the right fuel
One easy trick is cut any food out from your diet that you couldn’t make yourself at home, such as all the shite preservatives that’s in nearly all mass produced food

4 eggs wtf  I rarely have more than one of any style and not breakfast either that would make me barth .

nor any of that other stuff, just eat not much really ,unless you working outdoors way up North , like around the Artic Circles  never been over weight in my Life and fit as the preverbal Stradivarius fiddle

Eating more than you need causes overweight simple.

stop pigging your faces , just eat what you need not greed and you will be fine. (y).

I need 4 eggs. There’s only about 80 calories in an egg.

rarely eat out but when we do i think isnt it awful, a right turn off with all the fat people in there ,as there invariably is where ever you go, from morrisons cafe, to rick steins .... stuffing it away like theres no tomorrow always the same... never seems to be people who actually need it...

It’s a world of plenty for man’s need for sure, just not enough for man’s greed. That said, obesity can’t be put down to greed alone, or in many cases at all. That is to oversimplify the issue, and starving yourself won’t help a soul in Africa either.

There’s plenty of fat people in Africa too. Obviously there’s a lot more thin ones though. I’m not a believer in the ‘ i just have to look at food to put on weight’ rhetoric you usually have to put it down your throat too. I think you have to adjust intake to requirements especially as you get older.
