I've been running a 960 for 3 seasons now and so far my quiet pleased with it. I ran a 435 welgar previously and apart from having to weld the tail door and a few bearings it's was quiet good. We priced a new 445 welgar with the E link control box and a braked axle to take it up to the same...
I'll take a few pictures tomorrow.
On a normal spout the banana piece of the spout the bottom of the pouts is open. I welded a sheet of steel on the bottom of that piece to close it up. So it forces the air to the end of the spout
The 125mm diameter flexi seed and fertiliser pipes that transfere the seed from the front hopper to distribution heads has worn out at the corners. The local stealer in needing £ 56/meter for the pipe and I need 10 meters of it. What is the correct name for this type of pipe? Who else would...
Ours is chained to the race. But once the chain gets tight I would imagine it would put more weight on the back of the crush and give you a false weight.
What about a weighing platform behind the crush with a sliding gate either end so only one animal at a time can be weighted.
How much are a set of weigh bars? We have to chain our crush to the wall so stop it sliding away from the race. How would that work with the weigh bars?
After another day of heavy rain and allot of straw laying to bale my thoughts turn to how I'm going to get 30ft swards to dry out. What's the best machine to fluff up straw for baling?
Thinking about buying a set of rims for my johndeere. It's on 710 x 42 and 600x 30 at the moment but would like narrower wheels for ploughing. What should I be paying for rims?
Had 1 for over a year now and it's a great job! I just fill a foil tin like you get from the Chinese. I heat up pretty much anything in it. For the like of roast beef and potatoesits better in 2 tins but you'll work all that out as you go.
I fitted new friction plates in mine today! The manual recommends you carry a spare set with you. Do any of you drag trailers behind? I've a couple of 14 ton bailey's with silage sides and I'm not sure if they would be a bit heavy for dragging
Tried hammering it back on but didn't really budge! Then heated it and put diesel on it then heated again and still not luck :banghead:
Spoke to the local Smiddy this afternoon to see if they were up for the challenge. They said it'll be a piece of pee (y). So I'll hopefully get it over to them...
