Farmers earn more from YouTube than their crops

Certain words cause me to break out in a rash, activist, compensation, traditional, and for sure influencer!
The only influencing they do is influence the younger generation to talk shite. Using words like “beast “ for any thing with wheels on .and to stare at their bloody phones all day.
There is the odd exception like Cammys sheep game. I’m definitely no sheep fan but he’s quite good to watch.
Just the main of them is tractors tractors fooking tractors. I do like the ones who actually talk about the day to day running of their businesses , like Dove farms .
AHDB need to have a word with themselves regarding Influencers.. they ain’t fooling anyone.

And some of the Merchandise they offer looks utter tat aswell... There are few offering Quality looking gear but the bulk of it looks like shite out of their grans catalogue or Chums.

I used to talk to a chap in market a fair bit about farming seemed an intelligent chap, I stopped and avoid him now after he started to where a Tom pemberton hat, he might have well have been wearing a Micky mouse T-shirt.
Tom used to be a joy to watch. But sadly in the last few months he doesn't seem to be down to earth, like he used to be. In recent times I haven't been able to watch his videos. I watched part of his video today with the Hoof GP, Tom would ask him a question, and half way through the Hoof GP's response he would drown him out by going "Yeah yeah yeah yeah!" over the top of him. I just can't stand his videos any more.
Don't know if anybody else has noticed this, or is it me becoming a miserable sod! :ROFLMAO:

Tom pemberton was the best YouTuber for a long time imo and I was his biggest fan. He started to change when he started building his cow shed I think. I’ve stopped taking him seriously since then. I consider him these days as a farmer slash actor. His head gone too big. His playing to the camera, just look at his thumbnails, embarrassing. Thing is they’re not even good farmers. All they talk about is making silage. They used to have grass down for 4 or 5 days, happy out. Cows roaming the entire farm until recently and people commenting on the videos that the ginger warrior is a fountain of knowledge, give me a break. No one acts in real life like Tom does in his videos. All show and suckers clicking on his videos keeping the wheels in motion.

Stand out moment cow stuck in a dyke after milking that no one miss only Tom driving over a bridge after mowing happen to see and somehow epa not cleaning rivers was somehow the main fault and not bad fencing. That’s the mentality. Why put that on YouTube is another question.

Speaking of merch, the Fed by Farmers hoodies are exceptionally good quality. I've been asked by loads of people where I got mine.

On his own podcast the other week. He mentioned his accountant moans at him because he doesn't make enough out of the merch side but he said he would sooner take less of a cut and sell good quality gear instead of making a good turn on poorer quality clothing.

The videos must pay well also. He has dedicated the upper floor of the offices to a production studio and editing suite for the YouTube stuff.
Probably cheap advertising really. Bet he gets a fair bit of work from people knowing him off YouTube. He was main sponsor for a football club, bet that was a bit more cash than a couple of staff.
