We run a d4000 I’m not going to say it’s perfect but it’s not a bad machine. It does a few thousand bales a year with little grief. Only issue we’ve had was with the pickup last year. Although that might have been more to do with someone hitting a boulder with it.

What about a hydraulic ram that goes between the top of the drawbar and the top link mount. That you could push out to transfer onto implement or pull in to increase traction in a soft spot.

So you’re wanting to use the weight of the tractor, through the drawbar not the linkage to push the implement into the ground if it’s a touch hard

Looking at treating grain this year with maxxamon. And after speaking with the rep he mentioned mixing it whole and bruising it as we use it. Apparently it works the same. But would save £10 ton contractor fees or buying our own crimper. We use an alvan blanch mill/mix but we’re not putting 400...

We have an 11kw Gaia and have been sent a cheque instead of a bill every time since it was put up. Was £50k to put it up but it’s paid for itself in 5 years. So now just profit. Although we did have to spend on some new bearings this year haven’t seen the bill for that yet

We use it if you can get the white stuff it’s better as it helps ph also. At 10t/ac it gives grass a good boost, there is instant nitrogen and slow release. Plus loads of trace stuff. We’re putting ours through a dual spreader it works really well. The smell is gone after a couple of days and...
