Ah cool. to be fair, the Fendt guy said that the touch screen was too difficult to use in a moving machine and that’s where the dial & buttons are handy.

Without giving figures of the deal, our cost of changing from the Deere 6630 to the Fendt 516 is £10/hr. Obviously the Fendt is an increase in horsepower and it’s CVT with a 2000hr warranty. How does this sound?

went for a 3yr/2000 hour warranty here at no extra cost other than dealer must do services (which is extra cost to be fair). I can understand that a manufacturer insists on dealer recorded service record for warranty purposes, they can’t trust that farmer Jim did what he said he did.

That’s the thing. There wasn’t a Deere equivalent. Same hp was 6cyl, heavier and dearer. Biggest 4 cyl was less hp and virtually no cheaper. Fendt had a nice power:weight ratio and no boost. Just full power all the time.

No point creating a thread, asking questions and receiving advice without giving an end result. Ended up ordering a 516 Fendt. With Fendt loader. PowerPlus spec. Autosteer included. First Fendt here do it’ll be interesting to see how it goes.
