Very similar but
I Was really thinking being in the lucky position myself and my brother are in we can afford to just start small ,
Literally for 2-3 months even if only start 2- 3 days a week and grow from there ,
We both don’t need it for income but both know it can be good income
,provided...
Sounds similar idea to what i had in mins,
As said were very tight nit family, have never let money / hard times get in the way,
So it sounds positive so far
I was thinking say invest
£20,000 90% capital
Im50/50 time to get work in advertise
once work comes in 60/40 split on all paperwork, office based work
brother takes on all actual work
He gets payed weekly salary
End of year retained profit split 50/50
once business on it feet and running...
Bit context is its in construction industry
Electrician small buisness
And id be silent partner to a brother
Whos used to be in a partnership ,
There buisness ran for 5 years but differences in going forward means it split end last year and now after a break looking to get back up again
ive...
Has anyone had or been a silent partner in a business,
doesnt have to be agri related,
just trying to find out pros and cons for both parties involved ,any issues come up?
Also any rough models on what worked for you,
cheers!
Cheers all,
it just i know of people taking equity out of the own dwelling and using the released equity as a deposit to buy a buy to let property,
Again you have to show tou can afford the repayments somehow,
Didnt know if the same could be done with owned land or
better to just use own...
? Ponzi scheme no
Robbery dont get what you mean robbing off who.
i mean can i draw equity out of our own owned land to use for a deposit to buy a buy to let property,
Land has been debt free for 40 years or more.
Struggling to find definite answer online
can you release equity from agricultural land to use as deposits buy to
Lets,
And has anybody done it recently,
Wondering the average % pa.
land is debt free
cheers
Havent got these numbers now ,above is future scenario,
Have Done it in past with 70 on 30 acres
That was lleyn ewes bred pure,
They did have 2 energy buckets - starting week beforeand during lambing but not sure it added anything for the cost once lambed moved onto fresh grass majority didnt...
For me its not going to be my living,
Never has or will.
if i can pay someone to look after flock of 300 odd and it doesnt loose me money and flock size can stay the same /grow steady for 2-3 odd years ,
its another bit capital i will have in something different to the day job/other...
I was thinking similar
Stock enough per block and just bring together at lambing time,
Then back to individual blocks ,
Rotate grazing, shut up for hay if gets in front of them,
want it dog and stick farming, nothing complicated.
