    Lawnmower

Thanks for the help folks, I opened up the carburettor and gave it a run over with compressed air. Reassembled and it’s now running perfectly. Must have been a bit of dirt.

    Lawnmower

I’ve seen the fresh fuel making a difference here too. It can last only a few weeks as you rightly say. I used fuel fresh from the pump yesterday but no joy. I suspect dirt somewhere….

    Lawnmower

The fact that fuel seemed to be running freely to the carb made me assume the tank filter was ok. Mower is from the mid 90’s. Not sure what grade petrol it is but it’s been running perfectly on it up until now.

    Lawnmower

This petrol lawnmower ran out of petrol. Now that the tank has been filled again with fresh petrol, it won’t start properly. Petrol appears to be flowing fine to the carburettor. I’ve opened the little bowl under the carburettor to make sure it was clean, a little residue in there but not...

    Regenerative Agriculture being given away

This kind of stuff just makes me sick. Another new industry to live off farmers. Corporates inflict new rules on farmers to offset their own industrial emissions and massage their public image. Politicians follow whatever has a good public image even though they no nothing about farming. Most...

fendt 724 This is an error code

I’m just refreshing this thread to see if anyone else has had experience with the fault below and had any detail on exactly what is causing it. Started ploughing and it’s occurring again. Haven’t had anyone out to really get it fixed but if I had detail then it might be useful to whoever I get...

    Brassica choice

Why do you want Brassica in the mix? I’m of the opinion that unless you want to graze, brassica’s should be left out of cover crop mixes. Their presence increases the chances of building up Clubroot on land which nobody wants.

    Kws dawsom

I always like to see this in wheat, I always consider it a sign of excellent grain fill. I run trials here and had a shedding event in the wheat trials last year. Varieties vary a lot in terms of their susceptibility to shedding, Dawsum scored really well with very little shedding.

    Fusarium in Extase

It would be interesting if there was a crop of one of the BYDV resistant wheats nearby for comparison.

    Fusarium in Extase

Typically when we get the upright ears in wheat like those described in this thread, it’s because of BYDV. The infection occurs over winter but the typical yellow leaves that you see in barley are less obvious in wheat. Some yellow leaf tipping occurs but then disappears. Then as the crop...

    Krm fert vanes

Maybe I’m a weirdo but despite being well able to weld, I would never consider welding worn fertiliser spreader vanes.

Grain trailer air brakes acting up

I honestly don’t know, I must have a look, I never knew these systems had filters! . A call to Distag is planned too.

Grain trailer air brakes acting up

No, what should I check on it? The trailer is giving the same issue with both tractors and both tractors seem fine on two other trailers.

Grain trailer air brakes acting up

I didn’t adjust the distance between the red marks although I did adjust the length of the bar going to the drawbar. The drawbar would move upwards when the trailer is loaded.
