    Wheat into orbit

Backfire on who? That'll be us then. Chickens coming home to roost. At last.

    Yellow patches in winter barley

Need more photos really. What is the spread of these plants? You say worse on ends, which might be overdosing effect of herbicide but impossible to diagnose from that one photo. Presume it's been sprayed? Do those yellow leaves have green fresh leaf coming through to replace the yellow?

Interest Rates Predicted To Rise Very Soon

Indeed. The three sentences are joined at the hip. But Gordon Brown and his pals saved the world........... Hello Gordon, the future's here and it wants a word........

Someone let the cat out of the bag…..

Nothing surprising in that article for anyone with half a brain, it's a lot of words to describe what people instinctively understand without having to waffle on to everyone about it. It's the Telegraph, they need words, I get it. They should've put Boris' face on the donkey though......

    Carr's billington

I hardly ever go into our local branch but did go in a few weeks ago. They'd installed a new puter system a week earlier which was causing chaos. Instead of the local branch having its own system previously it was now centrally linked (via tinternet which was obv slowing everything down cos you...

    COP26 ... Your predictions

Yup. The thing we need to realise whenever we see any of this garbage is that it ALL emanates from those two. Every single bit of misinformation or dubious claims comes from their house of cards assumptions and twisting of reality. I'm starting to think Joseph Poore is going to be as disastrous...

Interest Rates Predicted To Rise Very Soon

What we ended up "going through" in 2008 was credit crunch lite. It wasn't allowed to play out as it needed to. The era of the worldwide low interest rate experiment started a long while before 2008.

Sometimes it seems that everyone can see this except the ones with the power to influence it.

    Government Policy towards net Zero

Sometimes it's difficult for me to forget stuff I was taught at school. I should probably do what everyone else does in the media and believe any old bollox and be relieved I don't have to learn any more now I'm not at school.

    Government Policy towards net Zero

Leaving aside the inconvenient notion that feedlot cattle spend most of their lives not on the feedlot, I was under the impression that when they're on the feedlot their methane emissions are lower than for grazing/forage fed cattle. Am I misinformed or does this seem a bit cockeyed?

    Government Policy towards net Zero

Do we know yet what the downsides are of interfering with the natural biome processes of ruminants? Or are we just playing God yet again? Presumably if methane goes down then something else goes up? Carbon dioxide for instance? Nitrous oxide? Or do we not know because we're not bothering to look?

    Government Policy towards net Zero

We don't even understand the problem let alone know what the answer is. We're in the Canute phase and will be for a while yet.

    Government Policy towards net Zero

It's just a nonsense article. The Gruniad back to normal business after a couple of sensible articles recently.
