    Poly tunnels ??

Another vote for Polycrub erected a 10mx4m in the spring. Took two of us circa 5 days in total but slowed down by wind/rain. The hoops were anchored in circa 3 tonnes of concrete so it ain't going anywhere soon I hope. Getting the posts level is critical, the fitting and joining of the sheets...

    New topper

We're fortunate to have flat fields being in the valley bottom. As previously posted, circa 50hp 2wd 40 yr old tractor will handle a 9ft rotary topper. However picture illustrates the downside of rear mounted in-line vs off-set. And yes I know know....no RKT guidance

    Best topper

A further endorsement of Teagle- run one their 9ft toppers behind a DB 1290 (flack jacket and tin hat on for the mention of a 90 series :)) on grass and rushes. Admit thicker stuff makes the old DB work hard but only at circa 50HP that's to be expected, on that basis 120 HP is over...

    New toy day

Gave up trying to find a good used machine so had to raid the savings bank- hopefully it will be with us a long time! Tried it in anger for the first time over the weekend and pleased with it- only went through one shear bolt which was down to the long grass hiding dangers underneath :banghead:

    Today at work

Don't worry @Bill dog I've not suspiciously attached a GPS tracker to you :) I live in Oxton and have run up down (mostly walked up, run down) that hill many times. Agree the view is great

    Importing tractor from Ireland

Potentially looking at importing a tractor from Paddy Lacey Tractors. Anybody have an experience of the dealing with them, and/or recently importing a tractor from Ireland to the UK?

    Classic Tractor Magazine

I echo the previous posts, as a subscriber to both Classic Tractor and Farm Machinery Journal I find both a good read. In particular Rory Day, his team and contributing colleagues @ Classic Tractor do a really good job of producing a fresh, insightful and entertaining magazine. Well done! In...
