No, but I did do the School Mathematics Project. Still can't do maths, none of it made any sense (which didn't help when my first degree was in engineering). Similarly didn't last long, it was a bloody stupid idea.
You may have an actionable position (ie you can take the neighbour to court) under certain circumstances, yes. I would advise getting some legal advice (don't know if the NFU panel would be any good, if not then give me a shout) because if so you will have a good starting point for a neighbourly...
There are actually only a few reasons why solicitors are allowed to stop acting for a client so it's not always possible. If a client instructs us to act against our advice then more fool them, really, but if the outcome of disputes was obvious then we wouldn't need the courts.

The map should show where your demise ends, but having said there you do get errors on plans, particularly if they're old. I'm assuming that you don't own the other bank, and neither do the fishing people? Do they actually own the freehold of the riverbed or do they just have a lease or fishing...
Christmas trees might be another one as you have a town? That can lead into various add-ons too. Would you get consent for a farm cafe and shop?
