My agronomist is telling me to leave it as long as dare.
Sow Dawsum at 130 kg for the early slot.
I have hedge cutting to do which might take 3 days so end of the week it is.
Skyfall will go in later after potatoes 🤞
Thought long and hard about this, thats why didn't plant much last year.
If any cereal pays its well grown 1st wheat. I live in hope !
Legume fallow has replaced spring barley.
To be fair I have a bit of harvesting for a neighbour to do....it was late planted so obviously late harvest and weather not conducive to September cutting. 🤞
I didn't get much planted last season, don't want to get it wrong again
Mine is ready to go, thinking I'll go after the weekend,16th Sept at 100 kg.
Choice is Dawsum, Skyscraper, Champion.
Toying with the idea of blending and adding some Gleam in too.
Kind-ish land, good seedbeds, 1st wheats???
I find if venison is hung no more than 2 days, in a cool room, it doesn't get too gamey.
I have bought cheapish electric mincer which makes it far more usable.
Mince it once, then re mince adding spam or bacon. Add herbs and spices to taste, the more the merrier, then make burgers, lasagnes...
The fire ring has a tendency to soot up...have to clamber in side and literally poke all the holes through clear around the ring....roughly 2 inches apart
Yours may be different but on mine its a matched pair, have to swing the tensioner in to engage....but in practice I just leave it tensioned as engaging causes wear.
Mine isn't the quiet model but probably the same controls.
Engage pto, it'll tell you if its too high or too low.
It will also tell you if air flow is ok...could be blocked air pipe.
Press crop and scroll through the options..wheat, barley, rape etc.
Preset plenum temps and final temps are set...
When I broke my leg a few years ago I fabricated a hand throttle to fit JCB loader.
Fairly rudimental but effective...simple hand lever attached via a rod to the foot throttle.
It allowed me to carry on working albeit a little slower :ROFLMAO:
