I’ve just completed a Level 3 in Countryside Management, and want to find a role which will allow me to improve and expand my practical skills. I enjoy working outdoors, am a pro-active, practical and resourceful individual, who is organised and efficient.
Qualifications
Level 3 Countryside Management – including units on: Practical estate skills, Livestock management, Woodland surveys and management, Farm habitat management
City and Guilds: Tractor, trailer and front loader, ATV and trailer
Arboriculture CS30-31: Maintenance, Cross-cutting, Felling of trees under 300mm, Stump grinder, Wood chipper, Climbing and aerial rescue
Experience
Wimpole Hall Farm – Feb 2019 to Present
· Cleaning out and bedding up indoor housed pigs (Oxford sandy and black, Middle Whites, Large Whites, Large Blacks, Saddle Backs)
· Feeding indoor housed heifers and bulls and 1 years calving experience (White Parks, British Longhorn, Irish Moiled and Shetland)
· General overseeing of sheep, feeding, 1 years lambing experience, foot trimming, dagging, assisting with shearing. (White Farced Woodlands, Oxford Downs, Hebrideans, Manx Loaghtan, Norfolk Horn, Portlands)
· General farm duties and repairs, tractor driving, bedding up and feeding Bagot Goats and 450 laying hens.
Ground Worker – October 2016 to November 2018
· General groundie duties such as clearing brush, chipping, snedding, de-limbing and dismantling fallen trees. I do this on a part time basis mainly at the weekends.
