It might take a few attempts to get it spot on, but once you have it right there shouldn't be any need for adjustment again. On the rapid we would run the fan at 3800 to 3900 rpm when the tractor was relatively cold, and as she warmed up the surging would start. By bringing the hyd fan up to its...
That's it, we fitted a 1/2" also. It's on every hyd motor driven machine, apart from the sprayer. Maybe there's more of a load on the sprayer motor, or maybe it's just the uneven running nature of a diaphragm pump, but it seems to run fine on that.
Always seems to be worse once the hydraulic oil...
On our 8870, same hydraulics as your challenger, we had to fit an adjustable flow restrictor on the free flow return line. I know that sounds completely counter intuitive, and that it will blow the seals out of the motor, but it won't!!! We have them fitted on the accord air drill hyd motor, the...

I fitted an oms 80 motor to our Bogballe M2W . Running it on an 8870, TS115 and a T7 New Holland. Works absolutely spot on. I got a motor with a 6 spline pto shaft...
Hypertherm powermax 125. Its set at 100 amps there. Going a tad slow there as the sparks are supposed to blow backwards at a 15° angle for optimum cut speed apparently.
Made a track for the plasma cutter, mainly for cutting thicker sections. I have a motor and speed controller on the way, but the drill will do in the meantime. Nice finish despite the poor speed regulation with the drill. Thats 25mm plate.
Ploughing away here the last 2 hours. Going very well, no hunting between ranges at all. I have revs set to 1400 to 1500 and 85% droop. Transmission on middle aggressiveness. Running about 40% engine load at that.
I'm going ploughing tomorrow, after about 4 months of rain!!! It will be the first field work I'll have done with the tractor, and I was wondering what engine/transmission settings to use, such as engine revs/droop, transmission aggressiveness etc. I have the 3 point linkage and spools set...
Photo shows one of the led lights fitted, I'm sure I don't need to say which one it is!!!
Also got plastic boots for the Deutsch connector. It looks really neat I think.
Thanks so much @Drillman !!!
The part no. is exactly what I needed. My local parts man is an absolute gentleman, but I don't think he has had to get very many manuals before. This will ensure I get the right one this time!!
Thanks again!!!!
Just a quick question. The tractor didn't come with an operators manual, so I ordered one 6 weeks ago from my local dealer. It only arrived 2 days ago, apparently they only print them as needed. Anyway, I think it is not the correct version. I have only gone through about 70 pages or so, but the...
These just arrived! It will be a little while before I get a chance to fit them, but first impressions are good. There is a nice weight to them, and they just feel better quality than the average led light in the local autofactors.
Thanks, I have the proper Deutsche crimper and loads of connectors so that should be handy enough. Just walking around the tractor, I noticed that the wires to the lights above the mudguards are just about long enough!!!
