My Wife and I(and now three toddlers) run a family farm. Arable, Sheep, cattle(small suckler Herd). A little bit of contracting, and some holiday cottages, and rent out a few buildings if appropriate to farming.We try and do most of it ourselves, where possible. Year 2017
I also oversee a the farm buying group(Ouse and Cherwell) for which i am a member which has been going since the 1960s with 300 accounts and 200 suppliers, targeting all the usual farm variables from nation wide companies, and also making use of the more local suppliers wherever possible.
