You also have the option of the New Holland connectivity module (P&CM).
The added benefit with this one is you can also use it for Telematics and it will enable you to visualise machine data and agronomic data from the display in MyPLM Connect.
An AG-715 is a radio and not a modem. To use an AG-715 you need a 372 receiver and there needs to be an RTK base station near by outputting a frequency that you know.
The OSPED is the autoguidance valve. However, based on your last comment the fact “you see all calibrations” on the screen means you have an older tractor without the OSPED.
On these tractors you can see the sensor, desdzone, Gain and roll calibration.
On the newer tractors you can only see the...
Ensure that the dealer has done the software update on all relevant controllers….the display, NAV, receiver and OSPED. The OSPED requires an updated configuration file and sometimes may be forgotten because it’s rare to have to update it.
After all software updates be sure that the OSPED...
The modem will have a SIM card but it’s normally one assembly using a “SIM-on-chip” design so the SIM is not usually accessible.
On the latest modems (P&CM) on NH tractors it will have an internal SIM but also a SIM tray for a second SIM to be used in markets where the internal SIM is not...
There’s been a number of software improvements in the last 18-24months for these tractors so I’d check with your dealer if they can do some updates and recalibrate the system.
If this is a recent T7 tractor then it will likely have a modem in it for telematics which can be upgraded for a NTRIP subscription which will let you do RTK once you have an RTK subscription also.
I think you’re talking about securing the radio signal and not the NTRIP signal…
The NH dealer should be able to get access to a SecureRTK program which enables him to generate a code based on your base station serial number. This code gets entered in the base station and scrambles the signal or...
The tractor ground speed indication will either be from radar or a wheel speed sensor in the transmission.
The radar speed will be impacted with different heights of crop etc.
The wheel speed sensor doesn’t take into account wheel slip.
There will probably be some kind of “filtering” in the...
Is it never practical to create boundaries before you go to the field? See videos below for an alternative approach:
Create Boundary
Exporting boundaries to USB
You can do this for free in MyPLM Connect
If it’s a MY18 or later T7HD tractor then if you press and hold the VRS switch when starting the tractor then it should display that H menu calibration and you can do it yourself.
