We've got a Gallagher one that gives a few different voltage readouts and alarms for vegetation overload etc.
Runs at a set power and will up the output if theres vegetation on the wire and just burns it off.
Good thing but I dont know if you can get them anymore, bought it from a farm sale...
Miserable isn't it, vet wanted to book him in for scans and x rays etc. no way I'm putting him through that he's only been in there twice in his life he hates the place.
Thank you, the wedding will be much easier to deal with I think, he was the first pup I ever bought.
Currently finishing building the shed for the reception so my opinion may have changed by next week 🤣
The old fella has been diagnosed with suspected heart failure 😔 he seems ok at the moment so just keeping him comfortable but he's definitely not his normal self. Hoping he can keep going until my wedding next weekend, he's seen off a fair few girlfriends in his time!
We used to run a lot of black and white steers and the whole farm is pleased that we don't anymore.
Never known animals like it for wrecking sh!t for a pastime
I wouldn't worry about it, if they are used to moving between paddocks then they will probably just walk to where the fence was the first time round.
That's what mine seem to do anyway
We've all had them I think. Best sold asap but you always think they'll catch up at some point. If it gets to 24 months here then it's sold regardless of what it looks like. I'd be shifting them before they come in for their last winter but it's not always up to me
Half a cow depends on a large amount of factors though.
Also why f about milking once a day when the calves can drink straight from the cow?
In a revolutionary new practice you could even get the cow to give birth to her own calf 🤷♂️
He seems to keep selling them, even if they are shite/not whats advertised.
Also in a very thin defence of the man and his shitty yard we've had biblical rainstorms for the last 3/4 days here and I doubt the weather has been any kinder where he is
A friend of mine has used them for some white parks he was managing on a large estate block down here.
They work pretty well by all accounts can find out what make he used if that's helpful
No interest in keeping him around, I can't use him on anything here as they are related.
My concern is that not being farm assured and him being nearly 30months is that sending him direct I'll get my pants pulled down.
Why they can't be sold into an afu is baffling to me really. They'll take...
I thought the same but I'm sure I saw on a report that it was possible. Will look into it on Monday as apha don't work over the weekend. Obviously diseases have the weekend off too 🤷♂️
